Your contribution is needed: Feature Requests for KTM!

Update KTM reporting so it works better with KC Out of the box reports. The completed document fields are not getting set in the DB so the reports have 0 for completed docs for the modules.

this may have already been posted, if so please forgive. Enable Document Review to be able to add to classification training (off line batch etc.) the way the validation module does for project planner.

Rework the auto batch open. If I have it set to auto open bathes in validation or verification and my operator suspends the batch, all it does it open the next batch. They are suspending because they need to go away from there desk etc., not to pick up a new job,

I would love to see a clickable link in the Classification results pane that takes me to a class. For example, I'm setting up a new class, train my documents, but they have conflicting results. I go to my Classification Results pane and can see a nice bar graph with the two conflicting classes. Problem is I have 4000 classes. Clicking the class name and opening the class on the left side of Project Builder would be a huge time saver. Especially for those of us that inherit Projects.

I agree on this one.
A simple suggestion could be this: while suspending AND the auto batch open is 'on', the operator is given a choice of 1) "Suspend current batch" and 2) "Suspend current batch and open next batch". When auto batch open is off, the latter option is not valid (and thus not showed).

In a way, I think Kofax is not 100% successful in the on line help on this as they write about "ending batches" on the Auto open settings. To suspend a batch is not necessarily to Close or End it. Ok, they may not be wrong on this, but could change the phrasing a bit. Today, you do get the auto opening setting not only when closing a batch but also when suspending it. Kofax could emphase that this cover both Closing and Suspending batches.

Well looks like the day has come with KTM 4.0 with Pro add-on.

MikeB.

Is it only me, or is it hard to find information on the Pro add-on?
My impression is that this add-on is not really promoted worldwide. As I remembers it, Neurascript was once described as having better ICR compared to a vanlilla Kofax installation... Given ICR is tougher compared to OCR, I have never fully understood why solutions providing better ICR has not been promoted more widely. A broader installed base may also have had an impact on the pricing (I dream on).
A data retrieval package is more than a sorting machine.

I think the Indicius engine is not in the pro add-on pack. Only A2iA is available.

. Paths of import files for dictionaries should accept relative paths, so that one wouldn't need to remap them when moving a KTM project to another directory. That or having a global definition for dictionaries' root path

. Possibility to apply regular expressions to a format locator when the option "Use results from another locator" is checked. Another alternative would be to be able to apply regular expressions to the output of an Advanced Zone Locator.

. When using dictionaries in a format locator the option "Ignore Blanks" doesn't work.
Example:
OCR output was: "123 456789" (the OCR engine wrongly recognized a space between "3" and "4")
In my dictionary I had only "123456789" and the confidence level was only 33%
I then added "123 456789" to my dictionary and the confidence level was 100%

. Field and Locator datagrids in the Extraction Design pane should be sorteable. It's incredibly frustrating to have to look for a specific field or locator in the middle of 20+ because they aren't alphabetically sorted.
Being that the processing order of fields and locators is relevant, there could be a column for the processing order sequence.

Improve KTM Verification to use the same validation rules. Makes no sense to me that the fields are basically free text in verification and enforce none of the rules from validation.

Please include the ability to do a database lookup from a table field in the GUI and populate other fields in the row.
This would save alot of custom scripting.
thanks

Knowledge Base Synchronisation To Remote Sites
Upon publishing a batch class containing KTM Knowledge Bases files, the KB files are copied into a subfolder of the PubTypes folder.
RSA will then set about sending those KB files to remote sites.

A non-extreme example...
2000 examples trained.
3 standard KB's
3 TGL KB's
3 Batch Classes using the project
each example included in a Specific KB file takes just short of 20K

I change one small item in the project and publish each batch class.
2000*6*20K = 240MB
Oh but i have 3 batch classes
= 720MB which is sent down the pipe for a simple project change.

Unchanged KTM KB's files should not be synchronised to remote sites.
(if it's already fixed in v5.0 then good work!)

Allow the fonts in the verification queue to increase and to customize the GUI in verification.

From KTM 5.5 fixpack 1:
9) SPR00089571 - Enable the ProjectPlanner to Install on x64 Systems
ProjectPlanner Installer Used to Deploy the MS SQL Express for x86 Systems
This problem has been resolved. The SQL express installer is replaced with the version that can be
installed on x86 and x64(WoW) systems.
