MFA File Format

MFA File Format

Postby dlvangeest » Mon Aug 27, 2007 11:24 am

I'm wondering if anyone out there is familiar with an imaging application that generates a .mfa file format. I have a client that is looking to convert a number of files with this format but they are unable to tell me what application generated the files.

I have looked inside of the files and they have the following header information in them:

Kofax standard Multi-Page TIFF Storage Filter v2.01.000

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Having you tried copying them and renaming them to a standard extension, like TIF?

MFA File format

These are generated image files from Pegasus Transtech/Transflo.

They contain a custom meta header but it can be stripped down. If you open this file in a hex editor (I use UltraEdit) you can strip this header off by looking for 'IATA' and removing everything before it.

The file is then a TIFF image.
