7001 AcLicClnt Unable to connect to license server

Try to connect the Kofax License dongle and getting error message 7001 AcLicClnt Unable to connect to license server (see atachment for exact message). The server is a VMware Windows 2003 machine running Kofax Capture 9.0.3. The dongle is connected using a AnywhereUSB controller. Tried it with 2 different AnywhereUSB controllers and got same error message.
We previousluy did not have a problem with this setup. It occurred after we were switching dongles for testing.

Our production blade server with using a AnywhereUSB controller has no problem.

Note that the error says it can't talk to the License Server. It's not a message from the license server saying it can't find the dongle.

Verify that the Service is running and that there isn't a firewall that's blocking the ports (I think it's 2424) needed to talk to it.

Just as a note, do you have a working TCP/IP network attached to this machine, or is it running standalone? If there is no network connected, you can get that message. Capture needs a working TCP/IP stack to talk to itself.
