Windows 7

We are going to goto Windows 7 Ultimate and I am finding out that after installing the Kofax Desktop software nothing is working. Will Kofax Desktop work with Windows 7 and if so how do you get it to work. This is very frustrating when Microsoft is not supporting Windows XP. Software companies are now writing their code to the new O.S from Microsoft. I see that Kofax 9 is available and Windows 7 and that is supported. What about all the other Kofax software? Will yall be updating your other software.

Kofax Desktop 1.0 is not supported for Windows 7, but upcoming versions may be supported on this OS.
Please monitor this forum and web site for ongoing product announcements.
Another key question to ask is if your scanner driver is certified for Windows 7. Assuming that Kofax Desktop does get certified for Win7, if the scanner driver has not certified, results will be disappointing at best.

Hopefully soon. We are going to migrate to Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit in September. The scanner I am using is certified for Windows 7. I have the Fujitsu fi-6140. I even tried to right click on the exe and run it in windows XP SP3 mode and it still bombed out. We have 50 users that uses this as part of their workflow. Thanks for the reply.

As you have seen, Kofax Desktop 2.0 will not accept Kofax Desktop 1.0 licenses.

If you purchased Kofax Desktop through Kofax there will be forthcoming e-mails sent regarding potential upgrade possibilities. I would ask that if you receive no such e-mail by March 19th please post to the forum regarding that.
