scan all pages in automatic document feeder

Postby » Thu Sep 09, 2010 12:26 pm

When I put a multiple-page document in the Automatic Document Feeder (ADF) of my scanner/printer -- Canon MP780-- then press the scan button in Kofax desktop, it stops after every page. I then press the scan button again and it gets the next page. After repeating this for as many times as there are pages, I am able to save all the pages as one document. Is there any way to get all the pages of the document to scan at one time?

You may need to change the scanning mode for this model.
To do so, go to the scan settings tab and select the scan option then select mode.
The default mode is Kofax, select the External mode and see if this option allows true ADF functionality.

Thanks for the suggestion, but even when I switched the scanner setting to "external", it still only takes one page at a time -- it won't scan the second page until I hit the scan button again.

Unfortunately, we do not have access to this scanner to test this ourselves.
Have you tried enabling the option "Detect WIA Drivers" option when selecting the scan source in the Main Kofax Desktop UI?
Have you been able to scan multiple documents with any other TWAIN based applications? If so, which applications did you use?

Yes, I did have the "detect" option selected. I was also able to scan multiple pages when I used another ScanToPDF program with this scanner but another computer.

The only other thing I can suggest is for you to try the installation on another PC and see if the issue follows the scanner.
Do any other forum users have one of these scanners that they can test with?
