I need a validation mask for an amount like 123.45

I tried
999999"."99

but I can still enter:
123.
123.4

The following Application Note is regarding the index field validation options for Kofax Express.

ftp://ftp.kofax.com/pub/support/express ... dation.pdf

The section under Minimum Length on page 11 may be of help.

Although written for Kofax Express 1.x, it still holds true for Kofax Express 2.x.

if I set it the minimum to 4 characters,

1.23 & 123. are valid.

I want to force the decimal & 2 digits after the decimal

Have you tried:

999"."99

as your mask?

If you enter a validation mask as 99 or 9(2), this will tell Kofax Express that the maximum numerical characters a user can enter is 2. The means that the following items would be valid:

1
12
<blank>

Kofax Express does not have the ability to support validation scripting (http://www.kofax.com/express/technical- ... ations.asp).

One way you might be able to accomplish what you are looking for is to:

1. Create a database table that contains all of the values that are OK to enter (0.01 - 999.99)
2. Setup a database lookup field to connect to this database table
3. Any value entered by the user would need to be found in the database table.
