SB2.1: Fix "Connection to the server is broken" error

These instructions apply to the Storyboard 2.1 VM
If you receive a "Connection to the server is broken" error in KTM Thin Client Validation after entering your login credentials and clicking OK, you can fix this by re-registering the KTM Thin Client Server components with .NET WFC.

  • open an elevated command line (e.g. Win+R, type "cmd.exe", click OK)
  • enter the following command and press ENTER:
    Code: Select all
    "%windir%\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v3.0\Windows Communication Foundation\ServiceModelReg.exe" /r /y
  • this tool will uninstall and then re-install all handlers
