Zoom in code

Zoom in code

Postby ericvolkelbarno » Tue Apr 11, 2017 7:53 am

Hello,

Is there a way to change the zoom level in a vb.net validation script?

There is a FormID zone on most of our documents, located on the bottom left corner of the page. When the ocr fails to read it, and the focus moves into that field, a popup form appears. Sometimes the user needs to check the top of the form while that popup is visible, but since the form is modal, the zoom level cannot be changed manually.

Ideally a button could be placed on the popup, and if the user realizes that the FormID zone is insufficient to make a determination, the button would move the view to full page. (An example of what causes this problem is a FormID that has more than one associated title... thus requiring the user to identify both the FormID and the title which is located at the top of the page).

Thank you very much,

eric

Re: Zoom in code

I have tried sending Ctrl-Shift key code for zooming to whole page, width, or height from a modal form using SendKeys, and also keybd_event, to the Validation window from a modal popup form, without success.

The code works fine on a program outside of Kofax, but not in Kofax.

Actually, I have been able to change the zoom if the popup is shown as non-modal, or if the popup is hidden... but non-modal will not work in this situation, and when an attempt to show the hidden form is made, the zoom no longer works. It is almost as if the focus shifts back to the popup so quickly that the SendKeys doesn't work... have tried Application.DoEvents, and also SendKeys.SendWait... but no success.

Has anybody been able to send keys to the Kofax main window from a modal popup form?

Thanks,

eric
