Background Smoothing -> make white background

Background Smoothing -> make white background

Postby » Mon Oct 26, 2009 5:16 am

I use VRS 4.5 Pro with the option "Background smoothing -> convert to white".

I notice that the outputted white is actually a pale grey , RGB=(240,240,240) instead of (255,255,255).
No matter what I scan, color or white paper, the "white background" is actually the pale grey mentioned.

How can I change this setting in order to receive a pure white (255,255,255)?? (I guess I need to change some coded setting? Where?)

If I don't manage the pure white output, we will have to insert a second software in the digitalization chain to process the background (slowing down everything).

Thanks in advance for any help !!!

Best regards,

I experienced the same issue too and ended up removing this feature completely.
I needed this feature just for a few pages that had a thick paper with rough finish, but it had adverse effect on most of the other pages.
