VRS-Communication error

VRS-Communication error

Hi,

Currently, while trying to use my scanner, I am facing a KFX Error Code: KER_COMMUNICATION_ERROR.
I am using the Kofax VRS - HP Scanjet N9120 with SVRS and AIPE.

I tried searching for the Error codes, But I didnt find any details relating to that.
Please Help.

This usually indicates a communication problem between VRS and the scanner.

Which version of VRS is installed?
Which version of Windows?
How is the scanner listed in Device Manager?

Hi,

Which version of VRS is installed? If VRS is scanner application, version is Easy Archive 3.2.
Which version of Windows? Microsoft XP – SP3
How is the scanner listed in Device Manager – Hp Scanjet N9120

Kumar -

To determine the version of VRS installed on the machine, go to Start Menu | All Programs | Kofax VRS | VCDemo.

In VCDemo select the Help Menu | About VCDemo

The About screen will display "VCDemo for ImageControls version _____". This number is the VRS version number.

While you are in VCDemo, which is an application used for troubleshooting VRS issues, let's test the scanner connectivity:

In the Source Menu, select Scanner.

Choose your scanner.

Once your icons become active, click the icon that looks like a single sheet of paper. Does the scan complete successfully? If not, what error do you get?
