Canon DR-G1130 VRS double feed

Canon DR-G1130 VRS double feed

Postby nvang » Thu Nov 21, 2013 11:37 am

Scanner Software: Diamond Vision
Scanner: Canon DR-G1130
VRS: 4.5 SP1
Operating System: Windows 8

When scanning on the Canon DR-G1130 using the Kofax VRS Driver, how do I accept, skip, or rescan a double feed? it doesn't give me any dialog box to do that. All I get is a double feed detected dialog with an OK button and the image never gets save. I know in the ISIS driver Canon has the Rapid Recovery System which prompts me on what I can do when a double feed it detected.

I haven't used that model, but VRS typically sits on top of the ISIS driver. There's a button in VRS to drill down into the driver settings.

I looked at all the VRS setting and all I see are the brightness, contrast, auto rotate, blank page detection.... nothing about disabling the multi page detection or going into the ISIS setting. Within the Canon ISIS, the setting for detecting multipage is either by ultrasonic or length. And also a check box to use Rapid Recovery System. Am I just not looking at the correct setting? Within the Kofax VRS Driver, I have the Canon DR-G1130 w/ SVRS as my default. Is that the correct one I should be using?

In VRS, look for the icon "driver settings". That will take you to the ISIS driver where you can set your double-feed preferences.

If you're using Kofax Capture, be sure to save the scanner profile in Capture, or those settings will be wiped out the next time you open a batch.

Yes. That is it. That opens the ISIS driver setting with those fields that I needed to check. The driver setting button is located at the top left of the VRS setting. Thanks Russell.

That sounds about right for VRS 4.x. VRS 5.x/Elite is laid out differently.
