Opening PDF files in acrobat produces error

Postby james.jacobs » Fri Jul 20, 2007 5:47 am

Hi

I am scanning images and outputting them as PDF files. When they are opened, acrobat displays the following message...

"This file appears to use a new format that this version of Acrobat does not support. It may not open or display correectly. Adobe recommends that you upgrade to the latest verion of out Acrobat products. Please visit out product site at http://www.adobe.com/acrobat"

You only get the option to press ok. When you do this, it opens fine.

How can I make files that Acrobat opens smoothly? (I have upgraded Acrobat and it has not fixed this).

Thanks

Hi,

Perhaps your pdf file is really damaged. I think you can try a utility called Advanced PDF Repair to repair your PDF file. It works rather well for my corrupt PDF files. Its web address is http://www.datanumen.com/apdfr/ Hope this helps.
