Adrenaline 650ipv scsi interface

Hello - My "Kofax Adrenaline 650IPV SCSI interface -- Kofax part number SV3000" isn't compatable with newer pc's. Kofax isn't manufacturing adrenaline cards anymore. What companys manufacture comparable adrenaline hardware for newer sleeker pc's?

Noone. Adrenaline is/was a Kofax product but it is discontinued. You need to use USB (if your scanner has it) or an SCSI card from any manufacturer that can fit inside your computer. Today's modern PC's can drive fast scanners without any additional hardware support. This is one of the reasons why Kofax discontinued Adrenaline boards.

My scanner and pc has USB 2.0 interface. On Kofax website I downloaded VRS installation guide. SInce I'm using USB, when VRS installs I should choose 'Install VRS only' and skip section 'Installing an Adrenaline SCSI Scanner Controller' ?

Exactly. Also install the appropriate component installer for your scanner. After installation, check the Scanner configurator in the Start Menu to set up scan sources (or rather to choose the default).

Thank You. Another question. I'm replacing Win2k pc with Windows XP pc. Is the following steps correct or do you have to add unregister/register steps?
1) Deactivate VRS license on Win2k
2) Follow CD install for VRS 4.1 on new Windows XP.
3) Activate VRS license on Windows Xp.

Also, When configuring scanner sources will AIPE option be available, when your using USB 2.0?

Your processing order is correct. AIPE will be available via USB as well, but that depends on the VRS license you have. What type of license do you have? What do you use AIPE for?

VRS 4.10.039, Level = Workgroup, Type = General Update to Professional, would AIPE be available option with this?
During initial install by Kofax co-partner, they selected 'with VRS with AIPE'. So actually I don't know what we use it for. My goal is to ensure correct selection is used, when reinstalling software on new pc.
