Adrenaline 650i & Fujitsu M4097D (SCSI)

Postby Paul F » Wed Apr 09, 2008 5:42 am

I have just installed an Adrenaline 650i card with Kofax AIPE v4.10 (SP2). Although it appears to work with the VCDEMO software, it doesnt work with my main scanning software. I've been advised that this version of the AIPE software is incompatible with my Fujitsu M4097D SCSI scanner.

Can anybody confirm this and also recommend the correct version of the software that I should be using?

If I'm using the wrong version, can anybody also please tell me where I can access pervious versions of the AIPE software?

Thanks in advance

Paul

What is your main scanning software and what does it require? Is it accessing the scanner though Image Controls, ISIS or TWAIN?

this one says it's supported (AIPE & scanner)

what you probably meant is your scanning application.

Its called 'Batchscan' supplied by a UK company called Iris. I believe its using Image Controls.

Yes, I saw that. I just wanted reassurance as I've been informed by a couple of sources of the different versions that support my particular scanner.

If I remember right, the M4097 is one of those scanners that can be run under both the old Hardware VRS version 1.x with a 850/1700 board or as a Software VRS with a modern VRS version. Maybe that's where the confusion is.

Either way, I'm surprised the application has a problem dealing with the newer VRS/Image Controls.
