SCSI Adrenaline 850v and HP 7800

Hi!
We've been using 3 different scsi-cards with our computers. Now we've added a new computer model and want to use our old scsi adrenaline cards with these machines. The new machine is a "HP Compaq dc7800 Convertible Minitower", bus after inserting the scsi-card in the pci-slot, the computer refuses to boot. There's nothing on the screen or anything, and the computer's fan rapidly accelerate to maximum. We have 2 other cards (scanner controller and a image processing accelerator) and they both work fine with the compute model.
I tried to upgrade the computer's BIOS, but it didnt help. Is there anything more i can try? Why isn't it working?

No idea, but I thought I'd point out that I don't think the 850v is a SCSI card. I think the "v" is for "video".

I've used the 1700 video (dual-processor version of the 850) on dc7100 CMT machines without problems. Perhaps this card is just bad.
