Free Autoimport

Postby » Sat May 04, 2013 11:13 pm

Hi all

I have developed an Autoimport program to Kofax, and I am sharing this software for free for everybody to use.
Feel free to use it, but this software is, "as is" and no support.
But I gladly take comments on the software, and if their is a bug, send an email or comment and I´ll see what I can do.
Or if you have a request that is needed, I can see if I can add this to the next version.

Short of what Autoimport can do:
- Import files from folders and subfolders
- Import from email (iMAP, POP3 and EWS)
- Import from FTP
- Choose which filestypes to import.
- Convert Office files to PDF and import.
- Save import statistics in DB
- Different separation methods
- Add values to indexfields
- Add values to batchfields
- Decompression feature
- Remote batch delete
- Convert color PDF to B/W
- Remove password from PDF
- Check if PDF is secured

I had to share this software from my Skydrive because this forum only allows 2MB upload.
Get the software here: http://sdrv.ms/WzbWVx

Best regards
Johnny

Hi jhemmingsson,

Thanks, this tool looks like it is exactly what I need!

But I'm having an issue getting it working. I'm trying to import from a mailbox and I believe I've set up everything correctly but I keep seeing the following messages repeated in the email log file:

Code: Select all
11/14/2013 10:34:52 AM Start download
11/14/2013 10:34:52 AM Try open batch.mdb
11/14/2013 10:34:52 AM Conversion from type 'DBNull' to type 'String' is not valid.

Do you have any idea what I might be doing wrong?

I'm using Kofax Capture 10.0.2

Hi danjh,

Yes, I have seen this.
It´s a small bug in saving to the DB.
You can check that the value inboxfolder has a value in the batch.MDB file.
If this is empty you get this error, just type in a "1" in the field. (open the file with MS Access) or you could just change the from POP3 to iMAP and save, then change back to POP3 and save again.
This is fixed in the next version.

Best regards

Hi danjh,

It´s the same with this, one field is not saved to DB, this time I Think it is "PRIO" for the batch that is not saved.
- Change this value to "6" and save.
- Or change the value directly in the MDB file.

I have a new release published soon. (it´s a beta right now)

Best Regards

Actually, I've now upgraded to your beta version (8.0) but it still seems to have the same issue.

The priority is set in the MDB file and the other fields look like they are set properly too. Not to worry, I can wait for your new release.

Hi Danjh

Actually I ran in to this myself yesterday. I did below to get this to work.

- Reboot
- UAC off
- Changed the logonaccount for the Autoimport service from local system to a real serviceaccount with more rights.
