INDICIUS Scripting - Debug Tool?

INDICIUS Scripting - Debug Tool?

Postby tfpratt » Thu Nov 06, 2008 1:36 pm

It's been a while since I've been in the code, so forgive the simple question. I am putting a STOP command in the code so I can step through the lines. However, its not stopping. I created a MsgBox just to be sure that I'm in the right spot and all, which worked fine.

I have VB 2008 express on there as a debug tool. Is there a switch I need to turn on, or another debug tool I need to use to get this code to behave?

There are usually three reasons why just-in-time debugging may not be working:

1) Make sure the registry key HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows Script\Settings\JITDebug is set to 1.

2) Make sure you're not using any encrypted scripts. Even one encrypted script, included by an include inside an include, is enough to block JIT debugging.

3) Ensure that your debugger is set to intercept JIT debug events from VBScript. This setting varies by debugger, but is the least common mistake, since it is always enabled by default.

Damn dirty libraries! I yanked the libraries from the demo, which were encrypted. All is well now, I'm stopping everywhere. Thanks for your assistance!
