INDICIUS Scripting - Debug Tool? - Part 2

Postby tfpratt » Fri Nov 14, 2008 7:45 am

I have been using the STOP command successfully with RTT for some time now. For some reason, now when I put STOP in the code, the debug session starts, or at least the debugger window pops up, but the code does not stop.

I cannot think what has changed other than the addition of new code to test, but I am putting the STOP command right in the start_batch function and it still zips right past it.

None of the files are encrypted and JITDebug is set to 1. I'm using the Microsoft Script Debugger.

Anyone know how to stop this behavior? pun intended...

The Microsoft Script Debugger isn't a professional tool, and often does this. :/

The only solution I've found is to reboot the PC - hardly ideal. I suggest getting hold a proper debugger (I'd recommend Interdev/Visual Studio) if you want to do any even half-serious script debugging.

Well, I do not prefer to do anything serious in my lifetime, however I made the change to Visual Studio and it certainly has made debugging much easier! Thanks again...
