Image type could not be determined during Documnet Review

This error seems simple up front except that the TIF file involved can be opened without problems.

I look at the file and it's been renamed to a ,tmp extension and I don't know if this happened because of the error or was the cause of the error.

After renaming the file everything works fine, but this happens twice a month on one computer. The errors used to be more common, but upgrading RAM on all Doc Review computers eliminate the problem to almost nothing. The current computer still recieves the errors even with 2.49 GB RAM.

These batches have been run through Advanced Classification and Separation.

We contacted our support contact about a year ago when the errors began, but Kofax was unable to come to a conclusion and the case was closed after we tested upgrading RAM and the problem went away.

Running Ascet 7.5 with Indicius 5.5.1

Anyone else fix this problem differently or know the root cause?

Thanks

Following up further it has been dicovered that this error actually occurred in either Classification or Image Rotation modules.

A search in the Image folder showed one additional .tmp file which had not yet reached Documnet Review.

With that it is assumed the memory upgrade did in fact eliminate the number of errors occurring during Documnet Review, but a similar error occurs on the server.

The error encountered by the user was a result of the tmp file extension and not the cause of it.
