Skip Document Review & Complexion ::

Skip Document Review & Complexion ::

Postby rarias » Thu Jan 22, 2009 2:45 am

Hello everybody,

I´m in the end stage of a project with INDICIUS, and we have a lot of batches that not have problems of classification nor extraction.
The customer ask to me that in this cases, the stage of Document Review and Completion will be skiped (like in Kofax with the typical WorkFlow Agent)

But I don´t know if this is possible with a Kofax Kofax WFA, or with other way.
Any suggestions will be gratitude!!!!

Regards,

Hi Roberto,

Validations specified in Document Review and Completion will only be run by those modules.

So, it might be that a batch seems valid (extraction is all confident) after Recognition, but you have a Completion validation rule which states "All dates must be later than 2007".

If you want to skip Completion, then it's up to you to ensure that you make all these checks on field data yourself; the same applies to Document Review batch structure validations.

Assuming you have done that and the batch is still valid then yes, you can skip those modules with a Kofax Capture WFA.

Ensure that your release / scripted export script is prepared for this possibility and does not try to output results from Completion - it would need to look directly to the Recognition results in this case.

Hello Stephen,
I´ve write a WFA to skip Document Review, but it doesn´t work!!!
In the complexion stage, Indicius have not idea of what type of document is.
In the document review stage I only have two scripts, one to put a standard name to the document type, and other to put values in Ascent.

Thank you

Sub OnDocumentImport(lEnvelope, lDocument)
Dim sDocumentType
nDocumentosIniciales=Batch.Envelopes.Item(lEnvelope).NumberOfDocuments
sDocumentType = Batch.Envelopes.Item(lEnvelope).Documents.Item(lDocument).DocumentType

Select Case sDocumentType

Case "DNI_0","DNI_1","DNI_2","DNI_3","DNI_4"
Batch.Envelopes.Item(lEnvelope).Documents.Item(lDocument).DocumentType = "DNI"

End Select

End Sub

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Sub OnDocumentExport(lEnvelope, lDocument)

Dim sDocumentType

'''nDocumentosFinales=Batch.Envelopes.Item(lEnvelope).NumberOfDocuments

'''Ascent.SetDocumentIndexField "NUMERO_DOCUMENTOS",nDocumentosIniciales - nDocumentosFinales

sDocumentType = Batch.Envelopes.Item(lEnvelope).Documents.Item(lDocument).DocumentType

'Revertimos el cambio de nombres del tipo documental realizado anteriormente en OnDocumentImport()
Select Case sDocumentType

Case "DNI"
Ascent.SetDocumentIndexField "DocumentType", "DNI"
Ascent.SetDocumentIndexField "Tipo_Doc_Largo", "DNI"

End Select

End Sub

Hi Roberto,

Where have you set up Document Review to output its document type to? Where have you set your Completion module to input its document type from? Are these the same places?

What about Recognition? Is that putting Document Type in the same place Completion is set to read from?

If not, you'll have to resolve this.
