Recog & Class Service picking up Script changes?

For either an INDICIUS service INDICIUS modules as applications, do you need to restart the service for recognition and or classification/separation to pick up script.

I thought one of teh advantages to running a service is that script changes were picked up without having to restart the service?

Thanks,

You're busy posting today. :)

Configuration files are cached by the INDICIUS modules. So, in order to pick up a configuration change, you will need to restart a service.

This is incorect. The advantages of running a service are:
- No user interface for someone browsing the computer to accidentally modify the behaviour
- Service starts up before user login, so after a machine is restarted there is no need to log in; convenient because manual login is one more procedure which can be skipped, and also for security reasons, in that a server should not be left logged in
- Services can easily be run with escalated security credentials
- Services are more ameanable to management via third-party monitoring applications
