TIFF Compression Module

TIFF Compression Module

Postby » Tue Jan 21, 2014 3:11 am

Hi there,

I have a very basic question. Is there a CM which supports TIFF compression in an other way then the already available TIFF compression techniques in the Kofax Capture export conenctors?

Thanks in advanced.

As Kofax internally uses its predefined set of formats there's no sense in converting the file before export. However since standard export connectors will not be able to handle the converted file, you'll need to modify the export connector as well. While you're at modifying the export connector you might as well use a 3rd party image conversion library, like ImageMagick to do the task in a couple of lines of code.
This is the reason why there might not be any CM for this task, as it would require an Export connector as well.

Hi,

Thanks for the reply.
I thought that was the fact already but needed some assurance.

You might also want to look into Atalasoft, a Kofax Company that does an array of operations with image files:

If they are going to hate you anyway for what you do, then you might as well put forth your best effort.
