it's HP's document management system, I think they purchased from Tower?

the problem I'm running into is the documents need to run into validation because that's how the record gets created in Trim.

It's really slow and users have to baby sit it even if I have scripting so that they only see the 1st document. about 140 documents and it took about 10 mins!

So if I understand this right you are performing some kind of release/export from within validation scripting?

not me, but it's part of trim ocx panel in validation. it needs to create a record/stub before it exports. it will not export if the stub is not created.

very bad design!

I will be needing this export connector and from the documentation guide it does appear to be poorly designed. Having to create HP records in Kofax Validation/Verification through their HP Control Panel looks to be mandatory, and the problem I have is I won't be using Kofax Validation rather KTM Validation. I've never seen an export connector like this and hope it's not as flawed as it appears to be.

Any other people have experience with the HP TRIM export connector?

I used the HP export connector a number of years ago and been doing TRIM intergration for over 10 years, the HP one is pretty useless as you cant use it with KTM as it need the OCX in Kofax Capture Validation to work.
Use this one instead is a lot more functional

THIS! This HP TRIM connector is by far better than the one HP provides. Simple to configure and the Sigma team is nice to work with as they exposed another TRIM system field for me in one of the latest releases. Been using this connector in production for a few months now with not one problem.
