Exporting to a "formatted" text file?

Exporting to a "formatted" text file?

Postby » Fri Aug 10, 2012 3:57 am

I'm gonna assume there hopefully is an "out of the box" solution for what I need....

I'm going to be using KTM forms to extract about 15 fields from an invoice. I then want to export the field value's to a text file so it can be uploaded/imported to an ERP system.

For the import the text file needs to be formatted so the ERP systems knows what's what ie

ERPField1 KfxValue1
ERPField2 KfxValue2
ERPField3 KfxValue3
ERPField4 KfxValue4

I'm waiting on confirmation but I believe its a tabbed delimiter thats required.

Hope the info above makes sense. Any help much appreciated

I don't think there's a "out of the box" one. CTX with a little macro programming could do it. Perhaps some other text export add-ons could as well.

You might want to try the stock text export and see if the ERP guys can use that. It's a CSV file.
