Validation Scripting called from Capio

Postby kevin.wood@coordinatis.com » Fri Feb 09, 2007 5:11 am

When writing Custom Validation Scripts in Ascent Capture for Batch Classes that are accessible from Capio, is there any way of knowing when the Script is being called from Capio as opposed to Ascent Capture?

For example, we might want to perform a Database Lookup using scripting when called from Ascent Capture but this may not be possible when called remotely from Capio.

Thanks

What you could to as a test which can be checked in the SBL, assign an Ascent system variable (e.g. {Document Form Name}) to a field. In the SBL verify the contents of the field. Capio does NOT support the Ascent system variables, you will see the actual text (without quotes) "{Document Form Name}". So if your field <> "{Document Form Name}" you can assume that you are in Capio, set a flag in the SBL and there you go.
